73% of all deaths among children up to one months old occur during the first 7 days of life.

Over the past few years, a steady progress has been made in reducing neonatal, infant and under-five mortality rates in Serbia.

However, these rates are still relatively high, particularly compared to our EU neighbors.

With its partners, UNICEF works to secure the best conditions for child survival and development.
