Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Which payment cards are accepted on the website donacije.unicef.rs?
    All types of Dina, Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, and American Express cards that support online payments.
  2. What is the procedure if I want to make a donation?
    If you would like to support one of our campaigns or become a monthly donor, simply click the “Donate” button on the side of the relevant campaign page.
  3. Is my donation anonymous?
    Donor names are anonymous to the public; however, UNICEF has access to donor identity information (name, surname, address, email and phone number).
  4. What is the minimum amount for a one-time donation?
    The minimum donation amount is RSD 100.
  5. What is the maximum amount for a one-time donation?
    The maximum amount is determined by your card’s daily transaction limit.
  6. In which currencies can I make a donation?
    Donations can be made in dinars (RSD), euros (EUR) and US dollars (USD). Indicative amounts in euros and dinars are based on the official middle exchange rate published by the National Bank of Serbia. The amount charged to your payment card will be converted into dinars based on the exchange rate used by card networks, which is unknown to us at the time of the transaction. As a result, there may be a slight discrepancy compared to the original amount displayed on our website.
  7. I tried to make a donation but received a message that it was not accepted. Why is this so?
    There are several possible reasons:
    - Incorrect card details were entered;
    - Insufficient funds in the account;
    - The transaction was interrupted by closing the window too early;
    - A temporary technical issue occurred with the bank that issued the card;
    - A temporary technical issue occurred with the WSPay payment system.
    - In any of these cases, you can try again by correctly filling out the donation form and following the procedure. You can also contact us at donacije@unicef.rs.
  8. I tried to make a donation but received a message that it was not accepted. Was my account charged for the amount I wanted to donate?
    No. If you received a message that the donation was declined, that automatically means that your payment card was not charged. Funds are withdrawn only when you receive a confirmation that the donation transaction was successful.
  9. I believe I filled out the donation form correctly, but my donation was declined. What should I do?
    In that case, we recommend contacting your bank, describing the issue and requesting assistance. After resolving the issue with the bank, you should be able to complete your donation successfully.
  10. Can a donation be revoked (refunded)?
    Yes, if the card was misused by an unauthorized person or if there was a technical error (e.g. entering an extra zero in the amount you wish to donate). If this happens, please contact us immediately at donacije@unicef.rs and describe the issue in detail. We will get back to you as soon as possible, on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  11. Is it possible to change the donation amount?
    Unfortunately, changing the amount of a monthly donation is not simple. To make this change, you need to send an email to donacije@unicef.rs or call 011/3602-131 or 011/3602-145, and provide your details (name, surname, email address and phone number). One of our colleagues will send a request to the payment processor to stop further monthly charges. The request will be processed within 2–3 business days, while you can sign up again for monthly donations at any time via our page https://donacije.unicef.rs/kampanja/klub-prijatelja-unicefa and select a new donation amount.
  12. How can I cancel regular monthly donations made by card?
    To cancel monthly donations made by card: email a free-form request to donacije@unicef.rs or call 011/3602-131 or 011/3602-145 and provide your details (name, surname, email address and phone number). Your request will be processed within 2–3 business days, and you will receive confirmation to you email; this will conclude your membership in the Friends of UNICEF Club.
  13. How can I change the donation amount?
    Unfortunately, this option is not yet available on the website. The amount can only be changed by canceling the existing donation order and creating a new one with the desired amount.
  14. Who can I contact if I have further questions?
    If you have any further questions, feel free to email us at donacije@unicef.rs or call 011/3602-131 or 011/3602-145. Our colleagues will be happy to answer all your questions.
